I purchased this samsung pn59d550 59 inch plasma tv’s 3D TV on amazon . com.com to replace a new 60″ panasonic LCD rear projection piece of crap that will needed a new $300.Double zero bulb every 13 to 17 a few months. I have had the samsung0 59″ plasma for only 2-3 weeks but the color will be fabulous the vegetables are greener reds more brilliant and that i do notice the blacks are blacker. When enjoying a bluray the picture is much sharper with additional clarity. I do notice a mirror effect from the black areas of images which means I get an excellent picture of me personally and every thing at the rear of me. Samsung PN64D550 But that is the sole time it is notable. I am diapointed in the undeniable fact that there are so few 3D movies out on blue ray dvd player and the fact that they are so expensive to buy. The anaglyph movies I don’t uncover worth buying, after buying 15 movies. Most of those are rarely watchable even thru the bluray compact disk player. On packages I have “Green Hornet” and “My Bloody Valentine” ‘Shark Boy and Lava Girl”, The actual 3D on the “Green Hornet” decent but not spectacular. I’d like to see a 3D variation of “Avatar” but I realize there is only 17 minutes of Animations in the movie which through panasonic is the only way to purchase one until you go to ebay they come for $75.00 or more. The samsung 3 dimensional glasses are expensive (I got 4 pr for $195.00). they are somewhat uncomfortable for a A couple of hr movie. Nevertheless the novelty is still there for me personally. I did not buy the Animations for what is available right now but I am looking to have this TV for 8 to 10 yrs. By then the market must be full of good 3D movies.But with my luck the technology will change and this will be outdated.
