Our set came a couple hours back – small ding in the metal outer shell on the top/back/center, not obvious from front and doesn’t appear to affect everything.
Picture is very good (understand, we’re originating from a 25 year old Sony console/tube).
The menu/setup provides many presets for the picture and sound. First thing Used to do was to plug in your network cable to perform the firmware upgrade.
The particular on-board tuner picked up Fifty-five OTA channels, our Roku is plugged into HDMI-1 and the The new sony bluray in HDMI-2. Image from each is fantastic and brings our family room to life. I hooked up both the old tube console as well as the Panasonic (we’re using the gaming console as the stand for the actual Panasonic right now) simultaneously to match and it’s obviously quantity of difference.
I have been any holdout for years refusing to give up our tubes since they were still working fine (which they still perform), but, the price ended up being right – so that it was time to come in to the 21st century. Hopefully we shall get many years out of it – at least coordinating the 20+ we’ve received out of the console it’s replacing.
Only point that could have made it better – if I had waited a couple TC-P50X3 of days more before buying since the price dropped much more. Still very happy although.
