I wanted an High definition that could display coming from over the air, DVD player, and streamed Net video sources and also connect to my home multichannel surround sound system. I’m not in love with the “Internet-ready” TV idea (I don’t want to be stuck just using applets, and I want comprehensive configuration control over wi-fi connectivity to my home wireless network), and so i looked for a Television that would allow myself use a laptop’s cellular capability to stream from the net.
This particular HDTV fit the bill. It provides a good OTA/DVD/Web image, and it was an easy task to cable up High definition multimedia interface from my Panasonic DVD player and High definition multimedia interface from my Apple company MacBook. I have a mature MacBook that does not include audio into the HDMI output, but this HDTV has an audio input interface associated with its HDMI 1 port, so a separate audio cable from the laptop supplied audio for streamed World wide web. I used an optical cable to connect the HDTV to my stereo system, so no matter video input origin, the TV provides music out to my multichannel audio system.
The picture quality is very good, and the online connectivity possibilities of the TV in 37LV3500 shape my situation flawlessly. I am very happy using this purchase.
