These speakers set me back about $325 since the pair including shipping. The intoxicated end store near my house wanted $250 a piece. Those citizen told me the reason own were higher was because of the warranty so only an true retailer could offer. Yeah? Really? Is so warranty excellence $226? I guess not!
So the price here is great! Boston is a solid brand since audio philes who don’t wish to throw bolt thousands of dollars since well-mannered speakers. The definition of sound is unbiased to good and the coloring is large although does not detract from the sound. With two woofers per speaker there is a well-mannered lowering end response with phat bottoms and punchy tightness since more focused bass sounds such since kick drums. I receive not pushed these to theirs limits so i can’t say since sure what they can handle. I’m powering them with a 190 watt pioneer amp from ‘97.
The amp may make all the difference with these speakers. I wanted something older to impart more warmth but i could not find anything readily available.
As far since i can tell these Boston Acoustics CS226B are a spectacular bargain and provide large reproduction since theirs price range.
