I’ve had this specific TV for a full week now and for the most part it’s been great. I oftentimes tried this TV to switch a 2 year old Samsung LCD 46″ 1080p that we are moving to the gameroom.
First off, the picture is excellent. It’s like getting High definition for the first time again. Your default settings ended up ok but much too bright in my opinion. After dialing the backlight straight down and configuring your motion plus, it looks like I’m observing through a window.
Great for gaming! I’ve spent about 20 hours or so online (Bad Co. 2 & Call of duty Black ops) and still have noticed zero fall from the TV. Place it to gaming mode and tweak the particular black levels and you are good to go. I couldn’t be more impressed with the image or speed.
Now for the bad….
I have 3 hardwired Xbox’s and 2 wi-fi. I also have One particular hardwired PC along with 1 wireless. My spouse and i run 2 android phones and a network printer all through One router at my home. My network has become stable for years now with no problems linking, streaming, or downloading. When I tried to manage the network set up, the tv finds your network but can not connect. I operate the setup again and it connects and can lose connection right after about a 10 instant period. It’s been a nightmare trying to get this thing to stay connected. I am already considering ditching it’s wireless and losing a Cat6 cable simply for the tv.
The Programs fall into the bad class as well. For those of you that are wanting to ditch cable tv for internet tv, DON’T. The applications are all free however you will have to register and pay for the content that you would like to watch. Also, the internet browser is laughable. If this decides to work, your cursor never stops bouncing around on the web site your viewing also it locks up A couple of out of every 3 times I prefer it. I searched for third party apps hoping finding a better internet browser but there are none out there.
Other mentionables….
The particular stand is very sturdy and looks wonderful.
Others reviewers whine about the HDMI advices on the side being an issue but they are really not. The tv screen includes a cable clip that you can mount onto the back and work the wires by means of first, hiding all of them in the process. This is not an issue at all.
The distant is great but challenging to use in the darker. It has a light into it but it only keeps on for a second, not long enough to work. If you can’t see the remote you’re going to have to activate a light to read it.
My set would not come with 3d glasses so I’m ready to get those at this time. Samsung just released they will be shipping Two pair with each collection after May 1 and they are dropping the price for each pair to be able to $50.00us on May Initial for those of us who failed to get them included. I will order mine then.
All in all, The tv can just what I bought this for. I have computers and 360’s for the internet so the bad wireless and apps are not a huge issue for me. It is good for gaming and can blow you away on Blu-Ray. Even turned UN46D7000 off the D7000 looks very impressive. I’m going to attempt to hardwire the set along with hopefully will get better results with the “Smart” part of the tv.
